Text Box: LOW ELEMENTS

Porthole: Low Element
Participants try and get each other from one side of a large tire suspended about 5 feet off of the ground, through to the other side. Participants must learn proper spotting and lifting techniques to keep each other safe. 
Lessons: trusting others; being trustworthy; paying attention to how others feel; planning all the way through to the end

Universal Multi-Vine: Low Element
The entire group traverses across one cable set up in between two trees. The only tools they have are each other and five successive ropes of varying length hanging down from another cable (like Tarzan.) 
Lessons: coordinating a group; working as a unit; helping others; supporting others; taking things slowly; sharing resources; assisting those who need more help

Swinging Tires: Low Element
The entire group traverses across an area without touching the ground. The only tools they have are each other and five tires that are hanging from a cable.
Lessons: maintaining safety; knowing when to play and when to be serious; working for the greater good of the group

Mohawk Walk: Low Element
The entire group traverses a path using a series of cables that are linked together (some have ropes to hold onto, others have trees, etc) without falling off or touching the ground.
Lessons: coordinating a group; working as a unit; helping others; supporting others; paying attention; handling several things going on at once; progression; breaking a task into smaller, more achievable tasks. 

PROBLEM-SOLVING & TRUST-BUILDING INITIATIVES

Blind House: Problem-Solving Initiative
Three groups are each given a task – the 1st group is the Directors and must get the 2nd group to lay down ropes in the shape of a house. The 2nd group is the Builders and, while blindfolded, must lay down the ropes in the shape of a house. The 3rd group is the Messengers and the Directors & Builders can only communicate to each other via the Messengers.
Lessons: giving and receiving direction; communication breakdowns; leadership; followership; relaying information

Crossing Guard Maze: Problem-Solving Initiative
Participants must silently make their way through a maze that the facilitator has laid out.
Lessons: different forms of communication; dealing with setbacks; thinking logically

Human Ladder: Trust-Building Initiative
A group of participants create a ladder out of dowel rods to transport a climber from one area to the next.
Lessons: trusting others; being trustworthy; staying serious; thinking creatively

Mass Pass: Problem-Solving Initiative
Participants try to pass as many objects into a bucket as possible in a limited amount of time, with several restrictions.
Lessons: trial and error; coordinating movements; not blaming others; continuous improvement
