Text Box: * Each student has one CB experience at the beginning and end of each year for all grades
 * There is a CB experience that is roughly the same for every 6th grade class, every 7th grade class etc from year to year AND progressive so that you build upon the previous year
* The focus is on fun and shared experience and not processing
 * Goals include using  get-to-know-you activities and giving participants opportunities to examine what it takes to create an atmosphere of learning in the upcoming school year (with time for reflection on the year that passed)

-pods of up to 120 students
-one day experiences
-field initiatives and low ropes in fall     -high ropes in spring
-point systems used
 

Text Box: PERSONAL, INTERPERSONAL, GROUP SKILLS
-skill-building specific (i.e. decision-making, constructive confrontation, problem-solving)-specific group of students, perhaps from a specific community (EH, debate team, Sped)-specifically chosen lows -class period or after-school or 7 week program

Text Box: *Specific effort is made to reach out to the following communities: Special Education;  Emotionally Handicapped;  Alternative Education;  Girls grades 6-8;  Boys grades 6-8;  After-school communities (i.e. Debate team, Athletics)                                 
*A very specialized program is designed for each community, hopefully to be replicated in successive years
 

Text Box: CURRICULUM ENHANCEMENT  -subject-specific                                 all students that teacher has OR just that particular class of students        -specifically chosen lows or highs                                                  -class period or several class periods over a few days
 

Text Box: *1st year: At least one program is done with at least one teacher in each of the following subject areas: Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Music, Art on a specific curriculum piece                                             *Progressive years: the number of teachers and the number of curriculum tie-ins are increased by a factor of one each year
